Chabo-san and Shidara!

Shidara is FUN! Most of the members are between the ages of 18-24. They were thrilled to eat the chocolate we bought. All we had to say was 'we have a present for you' and they cheered!

They took us to a festival where they played - even though it rained we had fun! They messed up one song and were bummed but we had fun anyway.

We expected to just hang out and enjoy every day life with them but they took time out to meet with us and teach how to tie shime and give us a shime lesson. They play very differently - Joy, Beth, and I were eager to learn.

Matt is sick!! Unfortunately he had to stay home when we were out for the day with Shidara. He was bummed but we still have 5 days left of our tour which involves a lot of travel. Megan pumped him up with NightQuil.

Meet Chabo-san!! leader of Shidara and a kick in the pants. She will be in the US doing a workshop tour in the fall of 2009. She likes horse back riding - I think we should take her out and buy her some chaps when she comes! (videos coming - the blog is being picky)
